Hunters hosted and sponsored the business lunch at Carrickmines Croquet and Lawn Tennis Club on Friday 11th November. Hunters have sponsored the club for several years and are proud Sponsors of the South County Dublin Championships held at the club since 2013. We always enjoy being at the club and attending the various events throughout the season.
Guest speaker at the lunch was the award-winning Sunday Times sports journalist, David Walsh. David Walsh has been chief sports writer at The Sunday Times since 2001. He is a four-time sports writer of the year in the UK and a four-time Irish sports writer of the year. It was fascinating to hear David’s experiences and insight into sports and journalism.
Our chosen charity, LauraLynn, was very generously supported. LauraLynn is Ireland’s Children’s Hospice and provides specialist palliative and supportive care services, to meet the needs of children with life limiting conditions and their families in Ireland.
Items were generously donated to raise funds, including Ireland’s number 1, Andrew Porter, who kindly donated his jersey signed by all the team for the auction.
We all enjoyed sharing the afternoon with other businesses and supporting and raising awareness for the charities and sports events we are passionate about, here at Hunters.
